Sid Thomas S*-ing to Power

S*-ing to Power **** S is for Sign, * is for Use. S*, as in S*-ing, is for SLINGING THE SHLONG AGAINST PHILOSOPHICAL AND OTHER ABUSE (Let S* be verse, picture, symbology, rant, whatever talks eternal, American, now) The world is ready and waiting for what we can do here. As John Calvin put it, differently, "It's up to you."

John McCain Wonn The Debate!

As a common sense analyst of language, with America First as politics, I am obliged to point out:

There are no agreed upon objective criteria for “win” or “lose” applied to political debates.

These predicates import the model of a sporting events or war-like contest, just as “satanic or non-satanic” (which I prefer) imports a model of theological judgment (McCain is a lizard; Obama’s just a Shabbos boy).

The “win-lose” model has a nicer touch, or tone, but of course its approbative force determines whoever looks at debates that way (mainly through partisan, rather than America First eyes — assiduously avoiding all discussion of issues, in favor of Rush Limbaugh dittohead superficial “HOW IT LOOKED TO ME! heheh weltschmertz) in a way that is self serving to sports fans (which I am). Hell, who wants to be a loser? heheh. So my tentative conclusion, not to run too far ahead of conclusive proof — McCain could always reverse himself at any time on any matter whatsoever; He’s a Real Nowhere Man — is that whoever thinks McCain “won” has something to gain, personally, by slipping the lying war version of America he supports over in ‘08.

And I hold it to be self evident that whoever accepts lies as the basis of wars does not deserve truth in government, nor consideration in American political discourse. I would not sit down in the same room with any of them, or a representative, unless they were stapped onto the seat, with duck tapped mouths, peeled back to speak then replaced.

That moves the approbative model over to where it belongs, imho. Obama was not, but McCain is, sent by Satan. His is not an ordinary psychosis (Obama threatens to succomb). It was driven into where his soul by what happened during the Nixon years, when America was finding IT’S soul, meanwhile killing 53,000 of our finest in Vietnam, who knows how many of theirs. (Obama does not understand that he must oppose what McCain was ready to, and almost did, die for. Skinny black guy trying to out-Bush Bush on fighting ‘Al Queda’ ? good lord have mercy.)
