This is best explained through examples. Everything communicated by MSM discourse pivots around what are technically called "reversals*" (<= concentrated contradictions in sign-use, in which text*-> negates what token*<- shows).
Items threading the apriori self-contradictory symbolic unity : It's all about testicular fortitude but there are two Archetypal orders of that, material and spiritual.

Psychosemiotic note on Maureen Dowd's article "Usurper In Chief", NYT 12.15 A23 (more below, 4). Its effect is to block "birthers" challenging Obama's legitimacy on grounds of fact -- lack of fool-proof certification as native born citizen. By personalizing the issue, as in the demeaning reference to those insisting on it, as if only little twerps would bring it up. Serious ones, however, are standing up for the symbolic canon of higher unity.
That canon assigns the President of the United States the symbolic role of "Father of our Country". In historical terms, the coincidence of this president in that symbolic role ...and birth on American soil as qualification of citizenship;... *this coincidence), will make those born in 'o8 and after the "Obama generation." .Recollection of origins will retain this symbolic link. Merged with impressions of his personal charactristics, this transpersonal connection will determine how those born in this period will remember the America they were born into.
