This is a discussion of that linkage.
The abortion Dr. and holocaust guard shootings took place at sacral shrines, amplifying symbolism and audience. Both victims were in the act of welcoming their killer; one as a church usher, the other as door opener. This theme of turning the gun on welcomers was also present in Binghamton’s American Civic Association shooting by Jiverly Wong.
The subtext is “let those engaged in doing good works beware of twisted, evil mentality prepared to kill them for it.” Thus, abortion providers, Jews, and local law enforcement, three very hi-profile subgroups of citizens, have had their daily on-going work situations radically altered since early April. Since the killings were for soul reasons (‘ideology’, ‘worldview’), and these widely shared by partisans, they link mentality (thought) with deed (violence) as if these were ‘extremists’, acting as martyrs for what everyone knows many view as justified, “Justified homicide” was known to be a topic discussed by anti-abortionists. The shooter, Roeder, was known to be an over-the-top
defender of the idea that abortionists were ‘murdering the unborn’. Polls indicated a public shift in this direction in May. Since his unrepentant attitude signals belief that he acted consistently and bravely, thus challenging like minded ones to follow suit, warning is rightly taken from this to crack down on all; on the mentality, itself. Certainly, it must be justified to eliminate ideological justification for murder as a standing group situation. As if the rest of us enjoyed life only by the grace of their forebearance, which higher duty to conscience might cause them to abrogate.
Which is, in fact, the deepest root of existential enantiodromia (reversal of opposites). Those living and enjoying life in America are only free do so with their permission; they will kill you to save abstract humanity. Indeed, you may one of those whom they have saved from death, if their Operation Rescue efforts helped prevent your mother killing you in her womb. This way of thinking must be reversed. No one has the right to live in America under this projective delusion foisted off under the name of state religion. This is the issue Judge Sonya Sotomayor must face. She must prevent Catholic and other anti-abortionists from attaching America’s God to justify psychokillers.

Then – now – the crowning Double Reversal. It’s NOT THEM stabbing him in the back; IT’s HIM! --treating a “friend like a fiend”
